Fixed departures.

Join a guaranteed small-group Mardi Himal trek, or run the same itinerary privately on your own dates. We hold departures right through the year; the windows below show when each season runs and how busy it gets. For the live dated calendar, ask us and we send it the same day.

From a date to the trailhead.

  1. 01

    Pick a season

Choose a window that suits you from the seasons below, or tell us a target month. Autumn and spring fill first, so the earlier you ask, the more dates we can offer.

  2. 02

    We confirm a departure

We send back the available group dates for that window, with the trip, the group size, and a fixed quote. A departure is guaranteed once the minimum group size is met; small groups still run.

  3. 03

    Reserve your place

A 30 % advance holds your spot on that date, your guide, and your teahouse rooms. The balance is paid in Kathmandu before the trip starts.

  4. 04

    Join the group

Meet the group at the Kathmandu briefing, then travel to Pokhara and the trailhead together. Solo travellers are welcome; most of our groups are a mix.

When departures run.

Autumn

Most frequent departures
Late September – November

The peak season. Stable, clear weather and the sharpest mountain views of the year, after the monsoon has washed the air. Trails and teahouses are at their busiest, so dates go early.

Spring

Frequent departures
March – May

The second peak. Warmer days, longer light, and the rhododendron forests in bloom through April. Some afternoon haze and cloud build-up is normal as the season warms.

Winter

On request
December – February

Cold, quiet trails and crisp, clear skies, with snow likely at High Camp and Base Camp. A fine choice for experienced trekkers who pack warm; departures run on request, including around Tamu Lhosar, the Gurung New Year.

Monsoon / green season

On request
June – early September

Lush, green, and uncrowded, with waterfalls at their fullest. Expect cloud, rain, and leeches on the lower trail, and book in flexibility for weather. Departures run on request for trekkers who do not mind the damp.

Exact dates and prices vary by trip and group size, and we keep the dated 2026 calendar current rather than letting a published table go stale. For best-time detail by month, see the best season guide.

Two ways to go.

Join a group

Guaranteed small-group departure

Share the trail and the cost with a small group on a set date. Solo travellers are welcome and need no surcharge; groups stay small, with a real guide-to-trekker ratio. The best value, and the easiest way to meet other walkers.

Go private

Your own dates, your own group

Run the trek on the dates you choose, with just your own party and your guide. Pick the pace, add rest days, combine it with the climb or a helicopter leg. Ideal for families, couples, and anyone who wants the trail on their own schedule.

Tell us your target month and group size and we will send the available departures, with a fixed quote, the same day. Deposit, cancellation, and postponement terms are on the booking policy.
